As fire makes iron such that it cannot be touched, so frequent prayers make
the mind more robust in the war of the enemy. Therefore, they try with all their
might to cause us to be sluggish in our perseverance in prayer, for they know
that prayer is to them a great enemy, while it is the defender of the mind.
