You obeyed, you go to heaven, you didn’t obey, even if you pray, you go to
communion, you go to liturgy, you are destined for hell. Here’s Adam, here’s
the Prophet Elisha, here’s Gehazi, all these examples attest to the fact that
God rests more in obedience than in other virtues, so to speak. And the other
virtues also assist; but as obedience acts, the other virtues do not act. Thus,
take advantage of obedience.
