According to her biographers and the Church tradition, the body of Saint
Catherine was transferred on “wings of angels” to Mount Sina in Egypt, where
it remained unburied for centuries, until the 6th century AD, when the hermit
monks of the region were alerted by a vision and brought from the mountain
the body of the Saint, which they placed in a marble case. The Holy Relics of
the Saint are in the Holy Monastery of Sina.
Day of Remembrance of Saint Catherine the Great Martyr: 25/11.
