Reproach yourself continually, for self-reproach is an offspring and fruit of a humble
heart, and in a humble heart the Divine manifests itself, as it knows best. “Blessed
are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Examine each of your falls carefully
and you will perceive that, to a greater or lesser degree, the seed of pride was the
chief cause of the fall.
