When sorrow takes hold of a man ‘s soul, it does not allow him to pray with the
same joy, nor to resort to the study of the Bible to find healing. It also prevents
us from being peaceful, gentle, and meek, makes us impatient and hard, and
acts as a hindrance to our efforts to carry out our spiritual duties and
obligations.
