The Holy Fathers were right when they said that the Philokalia is the key to understand the mysteries of the Holy Bible. With the help of the book of Philokalia I began to conceptualize the hidden meaning of the Word of God. I began to see the meaning of such sayings as “the hidden man of the heart” (1 Peter 3:4), “the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21),” “true prayer worships in spirit” (Romans 1:9)”, “the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans” (Romans 8:26), “abide in me” (John 15:4), “My son, give me thine heart” (Proverbs 23:26), “clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 13:14), “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6), and so on.
