You can’t prosper spiritually, if you are small minded. I mean for example, that you try to keep some command willy nilly, as if they drag you, as if they pull you to do so. We constantly need to have joy within our soul, because we are sensible beings and we are alive. We realize that, whereas God should have rejected us once and for all, He has given us new life with His whole work and keeps regener ating us, sanctifying us, deifying us in the Church. This reality should give us great joy.
This joy, this gratitude should be the first and the last thing.We should be literally intoxicated by the fact that the Lord came, called us, wrote our names in the heavens and will take us there with Him eter- nally. Eternal life means that we will constantly be with the Lord. And when you are with the Lord, all is beautiful, regardless of how things stand, well or bad
