In the worship of the Church, as we stand be- fore the Son οf God, who is the Bridegroom of the Church and the Bridegroom of every soul, let us look deep down into our soul, in honesty and sincerity. Do we really want the Lord to heal us, do we really want the Lord to strip the garment of sin, the gar- ment of passions and desire for sins, off us? Do we want this to happen to us? Do we really want the Lord to clothe us with the garment of virtue, with the garment of grace? Do we really want to become exactly as He would like us to be, in order indeed to be his bride?
There is no doubt that the Lord will definitely work this miracle in any man’s soul who, deep down, strongly wishes for it to happen and longs for it, but in such a state of mind that he would endure what- ever it takes.
