Christ became man and took the human nature from the Theotokos, precisely in order to come into the hearts of all of us, so that every man can have the experience of Christ dwelling in him. If we don’t have the experience of this reality in us, it’s no use living in this world. Man has no reason to exist. We are called to feel that Christ has come in us in a way which marks the death of the old man; the death of this old self with his faults, weaknesses, sins, falls, fears, insecurities, cowardice and depression, all these human shortcomings.
In order for man to be healed, he needs to get to know himself from a physical, psychological and spiritual aspect. He, definitely, needs to be helped by someone already healed spiritually. But man needs to be in obedience.
