As a worldly man, you have got used to claiming your rights, to getting away with things, to lazing around here and there, to lounging, to having fun, to relaxing. It isn’t easy to overcome this worldly spirit, which is a big obstacle because you can’t be Christian, unless you are determined to die.
It takes a great deal of patience to come to the point where you have true fear of God. It takes a great deal of patience for this fear to give birth to repentance, and for this repentance to bring tears.
If we want to prosper, we should love insults. And most of all, we should love those who put us in temptation.
Think how awful it would be if one day we got to hear that of all the things that God did for us, we let many go to waste. In other words, that we weren’t
